3. Ancient & contemporary classification of visha

4. Definition of visha,properties of visha & its comparison with madya and ojus,visha samprapthi,visha prabhava,visha vega,veganthara & visha karmukatha(Toxicodynamic & toxicokinetic study)

5. Descriptive & comparative study of upavisha in unison with Contemporary toxicology

6. Descriptive study of sthavara visha,definition,classification,classical signs & symptoms of poisoning including vanaspathic(phyto poison),khanija (mineral) and compound sthavara visha

7. Toxic manifestations caused by the contact poisons (paduka,vasthra,abharana,mukhalepa –vishabadha)

MODULE II (10 Marks)

1. Study of jangama visha & their sources (Animal poisoning & zoonotic diseases),Descriptive study of snakes according to ancient & contemporary knowledge.Causes of snake bite & its types.Composition of snake venom & its pharmacological actions. Signs & symptoms of envenomation & its prognostic signs.Clinical features of vrischika(scorpion),Lutha(spider)Grihagodhika(Lizard),Mushika(rats),Al arka (dogs),makshika and mashaka(mosquitoes) & their pathologic manifestations including their role in the manifestation of communicable diseases.Shanka visha & its management.Visha sankat & vishakanya

2. Garavisha & dooshivisha,their varieties,signs,symptoms & management with contemporary relevance.Detailed study of allergies including allergic manifestations in the eyes,nose ,lungs & skin

3. Concept of virudhahara,ahara visha & sathmyasathmyatha in contemporary and Ayurvedic concepts and diagnosis of food poisoning

4. Detailed study of the contemporary knowledge about vishajanya janapadhodhwamsaneeya roga,community health problems due to poisons- Enviornmental pollution,water pollution,air pollution,industrial pollutions etc. their features& management according to ancient & recent concepts

5. Detailed study of madya visha and substances acting on the nervous system,substance abuse(Diagnosis,management & de addiction)

6. Conceptual study- drug interactions and incompatability, pharmacovigilance

7. Diagnosis of dermatological manifestation of visha

8. Diagnosis of drug induced toxicity

5. Death due to starvation,heat and cold,lightening & electricity,Suspended animation

6. Medicolegal autopsy

1. Personal identity & its medicolegal aspects

2. Injuries due to explosion,chemical & nuclear warfare

3. Medico legal aspects of injuries & wounds

4. Impotence,sterility,its medico legal aspects. Regulations of artificial insemination, medico legal aspects of surrogate motherhood

5. Sexual offences & perversions

6. Medico legal aspects of virginity, pregnancy, delivery, abortion, infanticide & legitimacy with related acts

7. Medico legal aspects of mental illness

1. Forensic science laboratory – structure &functions

2. Structure of Central council of Indian medicine,its jurisdiction & functions.Code and conducts as per CCIM,Rules and regulations there under

3. Respective State council of Indian Medicine, its structure,power, voluntary duties

8. Ethics in classics, Types of physicians & methods of identification,pranabhisara & rogabhisara physician, responsibilities of physicians, chathurvidha vaidyavrithi, duties of physician towards patients, vaidya sadvritham, pujya vaidya,relationship with females

 MODULE VIII (10 Marks)

 1,Fundamental principles of treatment of poisoning

 2.General & specific treatment of different types of sthavara visha

 3. General & specific treatment of different types of jangamavisha(animal poisons,insect poisons,snake bites & other zoonotic diseases)

 4.Emergency medical management of poisoning including preparation,administration & complications of antivenom/antisera

 6. Management of gara visha & dooshi visha

MODULE IX (10 Marks)

1.Treatment of allergies including allergic manifestations in the eyes,nose & dermatological manifestation of visha

2.Management of drug induced toxicity

3. Management of toxic manifestations caused by the contact poisons(paduka,vasthra, abharana, mukhalepa – vishabadha)

4.Management of food poisoning

5. Death due to poisoning,duty of physician in poisoning,in cases of suspected poisoning & post mortem findings in poisoning

6. Extra corporeal techniques for removal of poisons

MODULE X (10 Marks)

1.Sodhana,marana & samskara of poisonous drugs

2.Pharmacodynamics of different formulations used in Agadathantra

3.Pharmacology & usage of antidotes as per Ayurvedic& contemporary point of view

4.Fundamentals of pharmaceutics according to Ayurvedic & contemporary point of view

5.Techniques of pathology, pharmacology, pharmacognosy & microbiology used in toxicology

6. Chemical,analytical,laboratory examination of poisons & suspicious substance

7. Introduction of different instruments /equipments used in examination of poisons
